The Animaru Prince of Egypt ch.4

(Dream sequence)

Akira opened his eyes and realized that he's in the painting on the wall; he turned around and saw his father, Pein, pointing at something.
Akira wondered what's going on, until he saw the guards walking towards him.
Akira ran off and hid himself behind the grass, but they weren't after him.
Akira watched the guards, marching towards the village.

Later on, the women saw the guards and began to scream, begging them to stop this madness.
Akira gasped, when he heard babies crying and taken away from their mothers.
Akira, then, saw three people; the little girl is holding the basket and they began to run off, not to be caught.
Akira gasped, worried that they'll get caught.
The people hid themselves, while the guards are walking, searching for more babies to be taken.
Akira began to follow them, finding out what's going on, when they went to the valley, by the river.

Akira watched when he saw the baby was him!
Akira gasped, when his own mother lets go of the basket, drifting off to the river.
A tear went down to his face, now knew that he knows the truth.
But it didn't last, when he saw guards marching towards him.
Akira continued running, until he fell into the water, followed by the babies, crying, and screaming....

(end of dream sequence)


Akira woke up, panting, realizing that it was a dream, but he wants to find out if Pein really did it.
He grabbed the torch and searched for any paintings of Pein.
He wanted to find out the truth.
Akira kept searching the paintings, until he gasped that he saw the painting of Pein, pointing!
He then saw the guards, dropping the babies on the river, to  being eaten by the alligators and crocodiles!...
His dream and what Ondine said about him were true; Akira wasn't born as a prince!
Akira dropped the torch and leaned his head on the wall, on his knees.
Why is he confused, why didn't his parents tell him? All of the questions were out of control, in his mind.
Akira is very sad, until he felt a touch on his shoulder; it was Pein.

"The Hebrews grew to among us," said Pein with a tone of slight regret in his voice, "They might have risen against us."

"Father, tell me you didn't do this," said Akira.

"Akira, sometimes for the greater good, sacrifices must be made," Pein looked up, very sad.
Akira got up, placing his hand on the painting of the baby and glared at the Pharaoh
"Sacrifices?…"

"Oh, my son," Pein hugged Akira, "They were only slaves."
Akira's eyes widen and backed away from Pein shaking his head and ran off.

That day, Akira sat down, in front of the palace lagoon; he's was still thinking about that he  never belonged  to Egypt ever since he remembered that song from Ondine and Mila.
He still sat there, until he heard someone calling his name, "Akira?" it was Konan.

"Is this where you found me?" Akira asked, looking upset.

"Akira, please try to understand," said Konan.
Akira  still looks down, "Everything...everything I thought;everything I am is a lie."

"No!," Konan sat next to him, " Don't say that. You are our son and we love you."

"Why did you choose me?" he asked.

"It wasn't us , Akira. The Gods did it," Konan replied, as Akira looks down. Konan then sat down next to him in attempts to comfort him as she sang:

Konan: This is your home, my son

Here the river brought you

And it's here the river meant

To be your home

Now you know the truth, love

Now forget and be content

When the gods send

You a blessing

You don't ask why it was sent…

Akira still upset he hugs her, as she hugged him back. Even thought he was from the slaves, she sincerely loved him as her own son.

Later on, Light, with Facilier, Kefka and other two servants named Uncle Deadly and Bobo the bear, stood there, while the slaves continued working, getting exhausted.
"Last night, the Gods granted me a vision," said Light, "I'm not only going to restore this temple, I will make it more grand..." as he continues, Akira walks up to them, passing the slaves; he saw Shadow the hedgehog being whipped by Mephiles the dark. Shadow glared at Mephiles, as he continued pulling the rope.
Akira continued walking, when he almost bumped into Miguel and Tulio, who were carrying heavy bags full of sand.
He felt so bad of what they're doing. He continued walking, as he saw other three Hebrews pulling the ropes.

Akira  felt so badly as he walked off; he saw one of them collapse on his knees, until  a guard whipped the bag which he carried.
Akira took a deep breath, when he saw Daffy Duck, glaring at him, carrying the bag.

"Akira!" Light placed his hand on Akira's shoulder, "Look, fate has turned our little mischief into a great opportunity..."

"Get up!" Akira turned around and saw Sypher shouting at Goofy, "Come on you Lazy Mutt, get to work!"
Meanwhile, Mila and Ondine gasped, as Ondine touched Elijah's shoulder. "Faster!" he shouted, as Elijah continued working.
Akira watched and moved toward the desk where  as Light discussed his plans for the temple, until he heard a whip; he turned around and saw Sypher grabbed Goofy' wrist and threw him on the board,
"I said hurry!"
Akira tried to ignore it, but he turned around, when he heard a loud whip and Goofy groaned in pain.

"Enough!" Ondine shouted.

"Somebody's got to stop him!" Mila added, but Elijah held them back; "There's nothing we can do. We can't help him"

Akira watched, as he hears Goofy, yelling in pain.
Akira cringed when Sypher continued whipping with no mercy at Goofy as he was screaming in pain.
By just standing just there and watching  he  couldn't just take it any longer.

"Stop it," he began to run, "Stop! ENOUGH! LEAVE THAT DOGMAN ALONE!!!" Akira continued to run.
Light turned around, "Akira?"
Sypher was  about to whip Goofy once more, "STOP!" until Akira tackled him, causing him to lose balance and fall towards the ledge.
The boy managed to get on balance but Sypher wasn't very lucky .
Sypher fell overboard to  the ground   as a horrified Akira looked on until, SNAP!
The wooden boards snapped, Sypher had fallen DEAD.
A crowd of  slaves gathered around, then Smoker shoved them out  
"Out of my way, out of my way! MOVE!" he stared at the dead body, "Who did this?"

"Up there!" a man shouted and pointed at Akira, who just stood there. "It was him!"
Akira  was breathing  heavily as he just stood there and turned around; he saw the slaves backing away, as Ondine and the other two stared at him, very shocked.
Akira realized he made a big mistake and soon he began to ran away.

"Akira!" Mila grabbed his arm, but Akira swung it away, he continued to run
Akira ran down the hill, until he tumbled over, but he got up quickly, until Light grabbed his shoulders,
"Akira, what's going on!? What happened?" Akira didn't listen and pushed him off, "Akira!"
Akira kept running.

Akira ran out of the temple, till he reached the entrance to Egypt, he wanted to get away from here as soon as possible until he heard a gallop from the horses; it was Light,
"Akira!"
He ignored him.
Light whipped the reigns to make the horses to run faster and turned around, getting him in Akira's way,
"Akira!"

"Get out of my way!" Akira snapped.

"No, wait!, " said Light.

"You saw what happened; I MURDERED A MAN!"

"Nothing is going to happen," Light ran in front of Akira, "I will make sure it will not ever be known."

"Nothing you can say will change what I've done!"

"I am Egypt; the morning and the evening star. If I say day's  is night, it would be written. And you will be what I say you are," Light grabbed Akira's shoulders,
"I say you are innocent!"

"What you say does not matter!" Akira snapped pushing Light's arms away,
"You don't understand; I can't stay here any longer!" Akira pushed Light aside.

"Akira!" Light touched his shoulder.

"NO!" Akira grabbed Light's arms, "Everything all I've ever known to be true is a lie! I'm not who you think I am."

"What are you talking about?" Light asked.

"Ask the man I once called Father," Akira replied and walks off.

"Aki," Akira turned around and faced Light who pleaded, "Please...come"
Akira  look to him for a moment but he  had no choice but to run away,
"No, I can't....I'm sorry....Goodbye brother"
Akira ran away from Egypt.

"Akira! Akira!" Light shouted, "AKIRAAAAA!!!!"
Akira ignored him and continued running, never coming back ever again.

Akira ran through the desert.
On he journeyed through the desert with no food or water.

Day after day, night after night and through the sandy storm.
He didn't know how far he did it and he didn't care, because he knew he didn't belong anywhere.

As long as he never looked back.

Every day, it was the same heat and the sting of hunger and thirst as he continued journeying on to nowhere.

Suddenly,  continued walking, he felt already to collapse when something caught onto his sandal and it broke as he tripped over a sharp walk  of rocks and fell on his knees.

Akira cringed in pain as he pulled off the broken foot-wear and threw it away on the ground.

Out of frustration, he pulled off just about everything else on him: his golden arm-bands and his ruby-emblazoned necklace .

Akira was about to remove the sapphire blue ring, but stared at it because is the memento Light gave it to him.
Akira sighed and put the ring back onto his finger.

He just sat there as he removed his crown and threw it away, when a storm of sand began to burying it.

Akita  saw the  sandstorm arriving and made no attempt to run from it.
He just let the whipping winds cover him, as he opened his arms like he was greeting death to him...
