Enough with the Headless Mami memes please

So, did you guys have a character that you began to like/love so much but then the writers decide to jump the shark by killing them so soon?
It really happened A LOT of times in the media: comics, movies, cartoons, video games and anime is no exception.
And there's a lot of great examples like Gwen Stacy in the Spider Man comics, Maes Hughes from FullMetal Alchemist, Lavits Lambert from The Legend of Dragoon, Portgas D. Ace from One Piece, and on this case Mami Tomoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica

As I stated before, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, despite being a magical girl series, is pretty grimdark and depressing.
In the first 2 episodes it was fine and dandy until episode 3 where one of the main heroines gets brutally killed.That's when
Her head gets decapitated and her body gets devoured by a giant monster.


Mami was pretty much like a big sister figure to both Mami and Sayaka and her death is problably one of the most traumatizing ever seen in anime.
Plus while the other girls theme music are depressing and dramatic, Mami has was probably the only one who has cheerful theme music in the whole series

There even an artwork that I can't find anywhere of the 5 Puella Magi dressed as fairytale girls that pretty much reflects about how they are in the own stories

Kyoko as Snow White

Unfortunately, since we know how the internet likes to memes and jokes about EVERYTHING; people began to joke around about Mami's head all the time, I mean really check on the comments about her, you what I'm talking about! PLus those type of jokes are getting annoying now.

Because seriously, how about you if it was you who got killed when a monster has devoured your head off?
